One of the biggest challenges we face today is how to produce sustainable, low emission energy for the long term. The Edinburgh Community Solar Co-operative (ECSC) is an ethical, community-based social enterprise determined to help reduce carbon dioxide emissions and make renewable energy more common place. The ECSC aim to install solar panels on the roofs of schools, community and leisure centres in Edinburgh, to generate long term renewable energy. As well as helping to lower emissions in the local area, the ECSC will also create a Community Benefit Fund to help buildings become more sustainable.
Trinity is delighted to provide financial support to the ECSC to help them achieve their goal.
